The books of a well-loved children’s author came to life at Ashwicken Primary School’s Roald Dahl day.
Staff and pupils dressed up as their favourite characters , including Willy Wonka, The Twits and Matilda.
Children read Roald Dahl books, found out about the author and enjoyed a lunch of spaghetti and meatballs made to look like Mrs Twit’s spaghetti worms.
Assistant headteacher Linda Preston said: “It came about as part of Story Telling and Poetry week. A lot of our children enjoy Roald Dahl’s stories.
We had a whole week of activities, including a performance poetry competition with prizes of Roald Dahl books.” MLNF14AM02065
