The eastbound A47 will be closed to drivers tonight, Friday, June 13, as bridge maintenance work between the Pullover and Hardwick roundabouts in Lynn continues.
The route will be shut from 8pm tonight until 6am tomorrow, to install a contraflow system, which will be in place for the next six weeks.
Traffic will be diverted, via the westbound A47, the A1101 and A1122, before joining the A10 to pick up the eastbound A47 again at the Hardwick junction.
The closure has also forced the King’s Lynn Young Stars speedway team to postpone its home meeting with Mildenhall tonight.
Drivers have been facing disruption throughout this week because of the works, with queues both in the centre of Lynn and on both approaches to the works zone at peak times.
County councillor Alexandra Kemp has also asked for measures to stop villages near the A17, which has also been hit by delays, from being used as rat-runs.
