Students from Fakenham Academy put on a musical treat for visitors on day one of the Royal Norfolk Show on Wednesday.

They took to the Showground bandstand to perform a collection of pieces from a variety of genres.

Sylvia Newton, head of music said: “It’s a great chance for us to play in front of so many people at such a brilliant location.

“We have all worked very hard to put this together and were all very excited about taking part.”

Student Euan Edwards said: “We have had rehearsals for a long time and while were all a bit nervous before, we all really enjoyed it.

“All our music students get on really well together and there is a very welcoming atmosphere around us.

“It’s great to perform at the show as we also get a chance to have a look round and take everything in, which is very exciting.”
