Cadets from 2534 (Fakenham) Squadron Air Training Corps made their contribution to Armed Forces Week by parading in Fakenham’s Queens Road Cemetery to honour all the servicemen and women who lost their lives in both world wars and are buried there.

They were joined by members of the Royal British Legion, the Royal Air Forces Association, the Fakenham Town Council and the Fakenham Local History Society who had organised a similar event in previous years.

Squadron Commander Flight Lieutenant Nick Potter gave an address of welcome, before Prayers were said by the Squadron Padre, Mrs Amanda Sands.

The names of the servicemen and women who are buried in the cemetery were read out by Warrant Officer John Boisson, representing the Royal British Legion, and Cadet Warrant Officer Tom Clifton from 2534 Squadron.

Town mayor, Jeremy Punchard, then laid a posy of flowers against a tree before a minute’s silence was held.
