FAKENHAM: Council cash for Citizens Advice Bureau

Fakenham town council has given a grant of £1,500 to the local branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau, based in the Old Rectory on Oak Street.

The donation is dependent on assurances that the CAB will continue its role in the town for at least the next two years.

A grant of £410 has also gone to the Active Fakenham project, which is promoting a programme of activities involving local sports clubs, businesses and other organisations.

The Tourist Information Point, based in the library, has received a grant of £1,000 to enable its forthcoming season to go ahead.

The money for these grants came from market tolls. The Norfolk Accident Rescue Service also received £125 from the council.
