Organisers of Feltwell Yard Sales day are expecting the West Norfolk village to be swamped with visitors in search of bargains tomorrow.
Feltwell Fundraisers, the organisers of the event which has been held for six years, have been inundated with bookings.
The fundraisers are a newly-formed committee of people who previously raised more than £50,000 as the Friends of St Mary’s Church Feltwell.
Now independent, it is continuing to support the church but also other charities with a Feltwell connection.
Earlier this week, spokeswoman Vanessa Cock said: “Bookings have been coming in thick and fast over the last week. With the bookings we already have and knowing there are still more to come in, we expect there to be at least 70 yard sales being held around the village which is amazing.
“We always get lots of support for this event because householders are able to sell right from their doorstop and it makes it easy to sell larger items they wouldn’t normally take to car boot sales.
“In the past we have seen boats, caravans, cars and furniture all change hands along with all the smaller items you would expect to find.
“This year we are not only supporting the North Aisle Project in our parish church of St. Mary’s but also the Teenage Cancer Trust.
“We chose the Teenage Cancer Trust in recognition of the fantastic support they provided for Feltwell teenager Leanne Walpole and her family when she was diagnosed and treated for a brain tumour.
“They do some great work and Feltwell people are very pleased to be supporting them.”
The event will be held tomorrow between 9am and 2pm.
A list of addresses and village map will be available from St. Mary’s Church (IP26 4DA) from 8.30am.
Details of addresses holding sales will also be available on Feltwell Fundraisers Facebook page this evening.
The hugely popular £1-an-item stall will be held in St. Mary’s Church again this year where refreshments and toilet facilities will also be available.
