Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was injured when he attempted to separate a group of fighting dogs in Downham last week.
The man, who is in his late 40s, was walking his Alsatian in the Memorial Field park when the incident happened at around 4.15pm last Monday, August 12.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said the man and the Alsatian, which was on a lead, were approached by a Labrador and a Border Collie.
She said that both of the dogs were off their leads at the time but appeared to be with a woman.
The spokesman added that the woman’s dogs then began to fight with the victim’s dog and the man suffered cuts and bruises as he attempted to separate them.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information about it is asked to contact PC Laura Shreeve, of the Lynn North safer neighbourhood team, on the non-emergency 101 number.
