The boss of a Hunstanton tour operator who hopes to establish a cross-Wash ferry service to Skegness has spoken of his delight after a successful test crossing today.
The Wash Monster set sail from the West Norfolk coast this morning and took around two hours to reach land in Lincolnshire.
Tour company Searles hope to make the route a regular attraction in 2014 and owner William Searle was thrilled at today’s journey.
He said: “It went perfectly.”
Mr Searle was joined by many members of his family for the journey and was greeted in Skegness by local dignitaries, plus a large crowd of spectators.
