Thieves have been stealing copper piping from boilers in Downham.

Police have received five reports of condensation pipes being cut from homes in three streets in the town over a three day period.

Officers are linking all five incidents.

An external pipe was taken from a home in Rosemary 
Way overnight on Friday last week.

A second copper pipe was reported to be taken between Saturday last week and Monday.

An overflow pipe was taken from a home in Nelson Avenue overnight on Saturday last week.

Thieves have taken a copper pipe from a home in Linseed Walk between Friday last week and Monday.

Thieves have also struck at a second home in Linseed Walk between Friday and Sunday last week.

Last year telephone cables were cut from homes in the town.
