A charity ball, arranged by staff and residents at Amberley Hall Care Home, is being held in aid of cystic fibrosis and Alzheimer’s at the Dukes Head Hotel in Lynn on Friday 4th April.
Tickets are £32 per person and include a four-course meal, a live band and a raffle.
General manager, Sue Hall, lost her son to Cystic Fibrosis in 2010 and has undertaken a number of fundraising events for the charity.
She said “I can’t do anything for him now but I can do something for those who have it or who are going to have it and I am blessed to work with people who will support me to do that.”
Alzheimer’s is a concern for a number of residents at Amberley Hall and hospitality manager Keith Barnes said: “It is a growing concern for all families.”
The idea to hold the event grew from plans to raffle a blanket that residents had made. Local band Jessie’s Ghost will be playing and the DJ will be Dick Ropa.
Raffle prizes include a trip around the Houses of Parliament arranged by North West Norfolk MP Henry Bellingham and a book about Downing Street, which has been signed by Prime MinisterDavid Cameron.
Ms Ward said “The team have arranged a fantastic evening and we are looking forward to it. The evening is open to everyone.”
If you would like a ticket please contact Mr Barnes on 01553 670600 before 2pm on Friday.
