Long delays and cancellations on the Lynn to London rail line continued this morning when a shuttle service had to be introduced between Lynn and Cambridge.
He said: “Unfortunately, the works overran and as a result we have far fewer trains than normal available to us and we are having to run a reduced service.”
Work was said to be completed by about 9am but delays were expected to continue for the rest of the day.
Passengers using the shuttle service to Cambridge could use their ticket to connect with either FCC or Greater Anglia trains to complete their journey and on the London Underground.
He apologised to FCC customers for the disruption and said passengers delayed for more than 30 minutes could apply for compensation. Details were available from station staff or on the FCC website.
