Highway crews have been working through the night to deal with the debris left by the gales.

Six teams from Norfolk County Council’s highways teams have been clearing 53 trees which were blown onto roads during last night’s storms (Monday, December 23).

Thirteen of the trees affected roads in West Norfolk, including one in London Road, Downham.

A crew from Lynn fire station was called to a home in Kendle Way, South Wootton, during the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, December 24) following concerns about a large tree.
