Hard working youngsters were presented with certificates for completing part of their St John Ambulance Badger training.

The five- to 10-year-olds from Gayton Badgers work towards a range of badges, including Caring Badger, Wild Badger, Eco Badger and St John Badger.

There are 12 badges to complete in order to become a Super Badger and the recruits usually work through three subjects a year. Sharon Woodrow, from Gayton Badgers, said: “They have worked hard and they deserve their certificates.”

The group meets each Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm at Gayton Jubilee Hall and is looking for new members. Contact Mrs Woodrow on 01553 636655 for more details.
