Organisers of a summer sports programme in Fakenham have unveiled a new initiative which they hope will persuade more people to take part.
A whole host of activities will be on offer during Get Active in Fakenham Week, which runs from August 16 to 24.
And organisers have now announced that anyone who gets a Get Active passport and completes three activity sessions during the week will get a free seven-day gym pass or free badminton court time for under-16s.
Get Active co-ordinator Richard Crook said: “We have some great events and offers planned during the week, from Kayaking, Yoga and Theatre to Ju-Jitsu, Line Dancing, Rambling, Running, Writing, theatre and plenty more. There’s something for everyone.”
“We are always looking at new ways to get people involved. The passport is a fun way of getting involved and seeing what’s out there.”
Colin Brzeczek, manager of the town’s sports centre and a member of the Active Fakenham steering group, added: “We think this is an exciting initiative and we are very pleased to be supporting it.”
