Last year’s Poppy Appeal in the Fakenham and District area raised £12,066.

Over the two-week campaign dozens of volunteers gave their time to collect in various ways with generous contributions coming from the sale of wreaths and donations in churches and shops.

The Festival of Remembrance in the parish church raised over £600 and the Royal British Legion’s tree in the annual Christmas Tree Festival attracted donations of £588.73.

Long-serving organiser Gwen Pierce gave sincere thanks to everyone who had helped in any way to achieve this total.
