HEACHAM: Police appeal for witnesses to fatal crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal car crash in Heacham last month.

David Rowland Powell, who was 20 and from Dersingham, was a back seat passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa which overturned on the A149 at Heacham early on Saturday, September 29. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The silver car was travelling towards Hunstanton when it left the road, went through a hedge and overturned.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail.

Officers would now like to speak to the occupants of a vehicle which stopped at the scene. It was believed to be a small, dark coloured hatch-back with three or four occupants.

They are also hoping to speak to any other vehicles which drove past the scene after the collision.

Anyone with any further information is asked to contact PC Shane Schucroft in the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
