Ali Dent, Hilgay’s village butcher, is holding his famous bi-annual charity Book Fair later this month to raise funds for the Stroke Association.
The book sale will be held in Hilgay Village Hall from 10am on Sunday, October 20.
Mr Dent said: “I’ve been holding charity book sales in Hilgay for over 30 years, and the incredible generosity of the people of Norfolk never ceases to amaze me. I had a mini stroke a few years ago, but luckily I made a full recovery.
“There are thousands of stroke survivors in the UK who aren’t as fortunate as me, so I’m donating the proceeds of my next Book Fair to the Stroke Association. I hope as many people as possible come along to show their support for a fantastic charity.”
