The seventh Norfolk Family Walk, once again organised by Christine Forecast, secretary of the Astro Brain Tumour Fund, took place in the grounds of Holkham Hall.
There were walks of one, three, six or ten miles long with games along the way for children
It was a blustery, cool and occasionally damp autumn day but around 230 adults, children and dogs enjoyed walking round the parkland, the ten-milers calling in on Wells-next-the-Sea.
The organisers report: “Many thanks to walkers, sponsors and helpers who all helped make the day such a happy and successful occasion with over £4,000 raised to date.”
Astro Brain Tumour Fund is a registered charity set up in order to raise money for research into low-grade brain tumours and also to support brain tumour patients and their families via online support groups and also a monthly social meeting which is held on the third Thursday of each month at WNDA offices in Railway Road, Lynn.
