Lynn-based Chalcroft Construction has been awarded a contract to build a new manufacturing facility set to created 150 jobs at Bespak.
Construction work is due to start at Bespak Europe’s site on North Lynn Industrial Estate, where the company plans to create an additional 5,180 sq metres manufacturing facility for a new product within its range of drug delivery devices.
Construction work undertaken by Chalcroft, the principal contractor, is due to be completed at the end of the year.
It follows Chalcroft’s successful completion of a refurbishment project in an existing production facility at Bespak’s Lynn site.
Mark Reeve, Chalcroft managing director, said: “Chalcroft has developed an excellent working relationship with Bespak. Close collaboration on our previous project helped to ensure work was completed with minimal interruption to Bespak’s day-to-day operation.
“Chalcroft’s experience in these areas, combined with its collaborative approach, will be a valuable asset as Bespak seeks to complete this important new extension of its development and production capability, quickly and efficiently.
“I am delighted to be working with Bespak again and look forward to the successful completion of this latest project in the very near future.”
