A closed village pub could be converted into four homes.
Freebridge Community Housing has submitted plans to convert the Rampant Horse at Gayton into housing.
The association bought the pub last year after it had ceased trading. It now wants two bedroom homes with two dwellings with two bedrooms.
The application states: “The conversion of the pub to dwellings is the result of the current market. High demand for housing and the difficulties of running a pub as a viable business in a rural village such as Gayton have resulted in this application.”
