Twenty-two year old Sam Bromfield is fundraising for school and sporting equipment that she will be delivering directly to youngsters in one of the most deprived parts of the world early in 2014.

Working for Barclays Hunstanton, Sam is working with the partner charity SCF 4 Kids, the charity that uses sport to help and inspire children. She will be heading off to Burkina Faso in West Africa in February to spend time in local schools delivering Barclays money skills and lifeskills, co-hosting sports tournaments and visiting orphanages.

For the second year running, Sam will be taking to the icy waters of the Wash for the Christmas Day swim as well as running a Christmas raffle, a quiz night at Caley Hall in January, and a Battle of the Bands at Bar Red King’s Lynn.

Sam said: “I am really looking forward to helping the youngsters in Burkina Faso, and if it means I have to suffer a bit in cold water on Christmas Day, that’s OK.

If anyone feels they can help with some sponsorship, please call in at the Hunstanton branch of Barclays.”
