A resident at a Hunstanton care home celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family.
Florence ‘Florrie’ Lilleyman enjoyed a buffet tea with her fellow residents and a special big birthday cake made by the cooks at Lincoln Lodge. Valerie Potter, from the care home, said: “She had a lovely time and her son, Terry, brought his family over from Leceister to visit her.”
Florrie lived in Leicester, where she worked as a machinist in a hosiery factory, before moving to the Isle of Wight to run a bed and breakfast. Later she moved to Hunstanton where she still owns a flat overlooking the sea.
Ms Potter added: “She used to love socialising at the pub and knitting.” MLNF13PB09041
