A Hunstanton tour operator will be holding talks with a national holiday company.
William Searle is looking to expand his empire by running boat tours in Skegness as well as Hunstanton and a fast ferry service between the two resorts.
Earlier this year, Mr Searle’s Wash Monster II completed a successful crossing between Hunstanton and Skegness.
Mr Searle will be holding a meeting with “big players” in Skegness to discuss the possibility of sponsorship for the Lincolnshire operations.
He will be talking with representatives from Butlins and the company, which runs the off-shore wind farm in Skegness.
Mr Searle has been pleased with the initial response.
He said: “Butlins are coming down to meet with us as well as representatives from the wind farm.
“They have seen what we have done.”
The cross-Wash service has received 1,200 responses from Hunstanton residents and holidaymakers, who are interested in the service.
Mr Searle is hoping to find out if Norfolk and Lincolnshire residents would be willing to pay between £30 and £50 for a cross-Wash crossing. He says this is the same price as the Dover to Calais crossing.
He said: “I would like to know if they would pay the price.”
