An inquest has opened today (Tuesday, December 10) into the death of a woman in Castle Acre last week.

Rebecca Brown, 43, of De-Warrenne Place, Castle Acre, was pronounced dead at the scene after the red Fiat people carrier she was driving was involved in a collision with a Fendt tractor in West Acre Road at about 3.20pm on Wednesday, December 4.

Senior coroner Jacqueline Lake opened and adjourned the inquest during a hearing in Norwich this afternoon.

The investigation has been passed to officers from Essex police as the tractor driver, who suffered minor injuries, is a relation of police and crime commissioner Stephen Bett.

Anyone with information should call the serious collision investigation team at Essex police by calling 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk
