The inquest into the death of Wisbech teenager Alisa Dmitrijeva will be opened next month.
The 17-year-old’s partially clothed body was discovered by a dog walker in woodland on the Sandringham estate on New Year’s Day 2012.
She was last seen alive during the early hours of August 31.
Norfolk police have run an extensive investigation to find out what happened to Alisa.
The inquest will open on Monday, September 15, at 10am at Lynn County Court.
Det Insp Marie James, of the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, said: “Despite exhaustive enquiries the decision has been made to pass the case through the Her Majesty’s Coroner for an inquest.
“The police investigation into this case will remain open and any new information or leads will be followed up and acted upon.”
