A masonic lodge master has handed over hundreds of pounds to a team of medics to say thank you .

Ivan Simpson, the worshipful master of the Philip Broadfoot Masonic Lodge in Lynn, has been receiving care from the diabetes and endocrine team at the town’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital for nine years.

He wanted to give something back to the unit and donated the proceeds from a dinner and dance organised by the lodge at Searles Holiday camp in Hunstanton.

Mr Simpson and his wife Barbara, who live in Lynn, presented the cheque for £600 to Dr Emad George with junior warden Ian Riches and his wife Lynne

Mr Simpson said: “It is nice to give something back.”
