Chalcroft Construction has raised a total of £2,381 for Macmillan Cancer Support following two annual fundraising events.
The specialist construction business, in Lynn, hosted its annual golf day at Barnham Broom, near Norwich, raising £1,350. It was attended by former Liverpool footballer Alan Kennedy who played a round with Chalcroft guests and staff before speaking about his career over dinner. More than £1,000 was raised at the yearly Chalcroft staff party, as raffle prizes were donated by several of the company’s suppliers. A cheque was presented to Emily Morgan, regional fundraising manager for Macmillan, by Todd Hallam, EHS Director at Chalcroft.
Emily said: “I am very grateful to Chalcroft for its continued support – donations like these are a great example of how fundraising events support the charity on a local level.”
Mark Reeve, Chalcroft managing director, said: “Chalcroft has supported Macmillan for a number of years now and will be extremely satisfying to see this relationship grow further as Chalcroft expands.” The picture show Emily Morgan with Todd Hallam, Paul Snowie, pre-construction director-designate, and Rob Bull, operations manager.
