Art students and lecturers are forging links with continental colleagues thanks to a £100,000 European grant.

Seven students from the College of West Anglia will head to the Netherlands this month as part of the Soul Mates in Art (Smart) project.

They will be working with students from Holland and Germany to plan how work on stereotypes will be exhibited in several countries.

Visual and performing arts programme manager, Emma Forrest-Leigh, will also visit a college in Malta.

Media and art and design students are also hosting a four-week visit for a group European students ahead of their own trip to Germany in February.
