A doctor who committed suicide left a note on his bedroom door telling friends not to enter and to call the police.

Sean Barrow had made an attempt weeks earlier while on a suspension from Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital following an arrest for possessing a small amount of cocaine in February last year. He was cautioned but not charged.

Dr Barrow, a 37-year-old South African, who lived in Austin Street, was receiving help from the mental health team and was discharged on March 14 last year, an inquest in Lynn was told on Monday.

Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake told the hearing that the cause of death was multi-drug overdose. She recorded a verdict of suicide while his mind was disturbed.
