A plan to create a floating restaurant at arguably Lynn’s most iconic landmark has been supported by traders.
Restaurateurs along the South Quay say a floating restaurant overlooking the historic Custom House would help to attract more people to the waterside and enrich the town’s reputation for good food.
West Norfolk Council is looking for a restaurateur with a 100ft boat to moor in the Outer Purfleet.
The idea has received support from the owners of The Bank House, Marriott’s Warehouse and Hanse House, all to be found in the South Quay.
Hanse House owner James Lee said: “It is a really good idea and the more things we have happening along the South Quay the better.
“The more the merrier.”
