A supermarket worker, who once spent six months living in a car, bought and donated a trolley-load of groceries to Lynn Food Bank.

The worker at Sainsbury’s, Hardwick store, who did not want to be named, made the donation during a collection day at the store. Shoppers’ donations filled a further four trolleys.

Tracy Hutton, food bank co-ordinator, said: “People’s generosity just blows me away.”

The Foodbank issued 3,234 parcels last year, with 947 of those helping to feed children.
