A young Rapunzel has cut off her hair to help young cancer patients.

Kind Kayla Senter, six, insisted on cutting her long hair for the Little Princess Trust after watching a video on the internet.

The trust, which was supported by pop star Jesse J, provides real hair wigs to boys and girls who are fighting cancer.

Kayla, who attends Howard Infant School in Gaywood is now sporting a sleek bob after her pony tail was cut during a visit to Serenity Hair and Beauty Emporium, in Lynn, on Saturday.

Her proud mum Scarlett Warren said Kayla was determined to have her hair cut weeks after watching the video.

Scarlett, of Fairstead, said: “Kayla always loved her long hair and used to call herself Rapunzel.

“She loves her new cut and tells everyone that she is sending her hair to help poorly children.

“We watched a video and she insisted on having her hair cut.

“I’m really proud of her. She has a heart of gold.”
