Youngsters will be climbing trees and scaling cargo nets during the summer thanks to a food company.

West Norfolk Young Carers has received £1,025 from Mars Food UK to take 30 children to an activity centre later in the year.

The trip will provide a welcome break for youngsters who are looking after their families or sick relatives.

Youth leader Jackie Haverson, pictured above far right, was accompanied by four youngsters on a tour of the factory on Lynn’s Hardwick Industrial Estate on Tuesday. She thanked the firm for awarding the grant. Mrs Haverson said: “This will help a lot of children build up their confidence.”
