The KLCCC provides a safe place for children to meet estranged parents. “Run by trained volunteers it gives an opportunity for relationships to be developed”, said Mrs Bambridge. “I was a volunteer for around eight years at the former contact centre so do realise what goes on and how valuable the volunteers are,
“What is most important is that the children feel safe and content – they come first.”
“We received a donation just a couple of weeks ago which will help provide drawing and painting materials.
“We are always looking for volunteers,” said Alison Bisset, the co-ordinator, “If anyone is interested in helping us we would be happy to tell you about it and show you around.”
