A man who pushed his heavily pregnant girlfriend in a row has been sentenced.
Daniel Brown, 21, of Guannock Terrace, Lynn, admitted assaulting his 37-weeks pregnant partner and damaging her mobile phone as she tried to call police.
Josephine Jones, prosecuting, told Lynn magistrates on Friday that the couple have a 13-month old son and that Brown was asked to leave on August 25 after his partner discovered he was having another relationship.
But the pair rowed after he returned at 4am on August 26.
Miss Jones told the hearing that Brown pushed his partner into a cot along with grabbing and stamping on her mobile phone.
The court also heard that the fire brigade had to be called after police arrived to find Brown threatening to jump from a balcony.
In mitigation, George Sorrell said Brown had a problem dealing with difficult situations but accepted that he pushed his partner.
Mr Sorrell said Brown was sorry for what had happened and had a good job.
Brown was ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work along with paying £100 compensation, £85 court costs and £65 victim surcharge.
