Parents and children from St Edmund’s Community Primary School joined forced once again to provide the residents of Goodwins Hall in Lynn with some seasonal fare with a Christmas carol concert.

Keith Barnes hospitality services manager at the old folks’ home, said: “It was great. To see the smiles on our residents’ faces when the children arrived and then began to sing was really special. All the children interacted with the residents, talking, smiling, even giving the thumbs-up to some. “It was a joy to watch and hear, a day that they still talk about and will be remembered for a long time, Wonderful.” Teacher Lucy Morley said: “It was a wonderful opportunity to give something back to the community and to share some of the children’s Christmas spirit with the residents of Goodwins Hall. The children were thrilled to be singing to such a receptive audience and I think the residents enjoyed it, as many of them were singing along.” Headteacher Lisa Cook said: “We’re really proud of the children. They sung their hears out and greatly enjoyed it.”
