FIVE adrenaline junkies from a Specsavers in Lynn took giant leap for charity on a bungee cord in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
On Sunday, October 20, Jodi Marston, Katie Boofer, Nadia Yeasmin, Elham Ali, and Dan Billham (pictured mid-jump) from the store in Norfolk Street, took part in a sponsored 160ft bungee jump at Grafham Water Park, Cambridge raising £1,000 for the cause.
Store director, Octavia Lord said: “I’m incredibly proud of my team and would like to offer our thanks to everyone who has already pledged to sponsor them. The money will make such a difference to the important work the hospices do.”
Specsavers in and East Anglia are aiming to raise a total of £25,000 for EACH. The hospices support families and provide care for children and young people with life-threating conditions across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices fundraiser, Mark Loades said: “Here at EACH we can’t thank the team enough for their efforts, and we hope their bungee jump will inspire others to raise funds in wonderful and wacky ways too.”
