A Lynn pub has celebrated its 150th anniversary in style.

The London Porterhouse marked this important milestone with a fun packed weekend of entertainment.

Pub owner David Nimmo and landlady Karen Barr were joined in celebrating this achievement by West Norfolk mayor Barry Ayres and his wife Christine, on Sunday.

Fr Adrian Ling and Fr Paul Norwood, from All Saints’ Church, also blessed the pub. Regulars also tucked into a barbecue and enjoyed a performance by Rum Dogs.

The weekend’s entertainment included a race night on Friday, which raised more than £500 for Breast Cancer Awareness.

This was followed on Saturday by a children’s party in the afternoon and the Mark Purdy Soul and Mowtown disco in the evening.

Yesterday’s entertainment also included a performance by Wildwood and the Porterhouse All Stars.

Delighted Mrs Barr said: “I am thrilled with how the weekend has gone. We had a wonderful time.”
