Pupils, parents and staff at Gaywood Primary School created a stir on Twitter with their wear a hat selfies.
A fez, furry hats and caps were among the headgear worn in the classrooms on Friday to raise money for Red Wellies in memory of Aimee Walton, 29, who lost her fight to a brain tumour last year.
Parents also got in on the act by tweeting pictures of themselves in a variety of hats . One dad tweeted a selfie in a purple hat while shopping.
Headteacher Paul Shanks said: “We are very pleased with the response and didn’t expect people to get involved as much as they did.”
Aimee’s mum Rachel Walker was also delighted with the response.
