KING’S LYNN: Service to remember Holocaust

The atrocities of the Holocaust will be remembered during a service in Lynn later this month.

Candles will be lit during a multi-faith service in the Tower Gardens at noon on Sunday, January 27.

West Norfolk mayor, Geoffrey Wareham and council leader Nick Daubney will be joined by the Bishop of Lynn, the Rt Rev Jonathan Meyrick at the service.

Representatives from the Jewish and Muslim communities along with other West Norfolk groups will give readings and lay wreaths.

Pupils from St Martha’s Roman Catholic school will sing during the service.

Mr Wareham, said, “We have the opportunity to stand together and show the world that we will not tolerate these atrocities.

“I would encourage local people from all faiths to come together and build on what we have learnt from the past for future generations.”
