The Grand East Anglian Run takes place this Sunday morning but after finding out she was working, Sainsbury’s employee Lisa Carter-Hall ran the 10k on a treadmill at the Hardwick store last Saturday instead.

She raised £150 for Red Wellies, the Lynn-based Brain Tumour Support Fund which is Sainsbury’s community charity of the year. She said: “Even though I was aching I felt really good after and I’m so chuffed the customers supported me.”

She completed the distance in less than two hours.
