A charity worker who “hates” running will be putting her best foot forward in two challenges to raise money for a good cause.
Erna Gotyar enjoys keeping fit but has never been a fan of running but she will be taking on the Insane Terrain course and the Grand East Anglian Run.
Miss Gotyar, 31, will be challenging herself to raise money for the Purfleet Trust, where she works as an administrator and finance officer.
She said: “This is the first time I’ve done anything like this - I hate running.
“I do other forms of exercise like zumba but I have never been a runner.
“Last year my colleague Georgie Futter ran for Purfleet which inspired me to challenge myself.
“I have changed my mind a little on running but I don’t think I’ll stick to it.”
Miss Gotyar will be wading through water, climbing over obstacles and sliding in mud when she takes on the 5km Insane Terrain course in Peterborough on Sunday.
She said: “I decided to do Insane Terrain as it looks like fun and appealed to the child in me.
“This course looks so much fun but GEAR does make me nervous.”
Miss Gotyar has joined the weekly Park Run in Lynn as part of her preparations for the 10km road race on Sunday, May 4.
