Four members of Wootton Park bowls club reached the semi finals in the fours and triples at the EBANational Final Bowls Championships in Worthing.
The quartet of Justin Hudson, Simon Peach, Mervyn Chapman and Ian Whiley opened their campaign against Bedfordshire and after a tight game they progressed 21-16.
Their next match was against Berkshire which ended in a triumphant 26-18 win for the Wootton side.
Shortly after, the foursome defeated Buckinghamshire 27-21, which was then followed by a 23-7 demolition of Lincolnshire.
This lead to a tense quarter final match against Derbyshire which finished 18-16 in favour of the Lynn side.
Unfortunately their form ran out in the semi-final against a strong Cambridgeshire outfit that pulled off a comfortable 13-22 victory. It was, however, a great run from the Wootton bowlers.
Justin Hudson, Ian Whiley and Mervyn Chapman also competed in the triples and once again got off to a great start with a 15-13 win over the Isle of Wight. They built on their success with wins against Kent (19-12) and Lincolnshire (22-5).
Their quarter final match against Worcestershire was a much harder test, but they managed to come through victorious with a 18-16 win.
With the trio in their second semi final of the week the bowlers had a tense thriller against Gloucestershire.
They clawed back an eight- shot deficit against their opponents to go into the last end level.
Unfortunately Gloucestershire proved too strong for the Norfolk team and knocked them out of their second national semi-final.
It was a great effort from the Lynn bowlers and they were unlucky to come away empty handed.
