An investigation has been launched after two men, one of whom is believed to have been armed with a crowbar, stole cash from a house in Walpole Cross Keys last night.
Police say the incident happened at an address in Station Road North at around 10pm on Monday, when the male occupant of the house was in bed.
A spokesman said the pair entered the property and demanded money. A large quantity of cash was then stolen from inside.
The raiders are described as being of average build and were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing. The victim was said to be shaken, but otherwise unhurt.
Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area last night or who has information about the incident is asked to contact Det Con Emma Cross, of Lynn CID, on the non-emergency 101 number.
