The King’s Lynn Festival attracted a Royal visitor last night, Thursday, July 17, as the Duke of Kent joined the audience for a concert by the Navarra String Quartet.

The Duke, who is the festival’s president, attended the Ruth Fermoy Memorial Concert, which is staged in memory of the festival’s founder at the St George’s Guildhall.

Festival chairman Alison Croose said: “We were delighted to welcome the Duke who clearly shared the appreciation of the whole audience in a memorable performance of music by Mozart, Borodin and Schubert.”

Borough Mayor and Mayoress Barry and Christine Ayres welcomed the Duke on his arrival.
