A teenage girl has been airlifted to hospital after she fell from a horse in Gayton this morning, Friday, June 27.
Emergency crews believe the horse may have rolled over the 16-year-old in the incident, which happened in Jubilee Hall Lane at around 11.30am today. However, it is not known whether that made the girl’s injuries any worse.
Paramedic Officer Carl Smith said: “The girl suffered a head injury and may have some internal injuries.
“She was given an anaesthetic at the scene and airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with her mother. She is thought to be in a stable condition.”
