Organisers of a fundraising fashion show held in aid of a breast cancer support charity have described the success of the event as “phenomenal”.

Some 200 people attended the event held at the Leziate Sailing Club last Thursday, which raised more than £1,000 for the Lynn branch of Keeping Abreast, which helps women who are either having or considering breast reconstruction surgery.

Group chairwoman Claire Fletcher was among those modelling clothes from Lincs Fashion.

She said all those who modelled had had surgery. “It was literally put the clothes on and strut your stuff around the room,” she said.

Mrs Fletcher also thanked the club for hosting the event, Josie’s Kitchen for providing cupcakes for sale and as raffle prizes and the Number 86 salon in Snettisham for its hair and make-up help.
