Lynn supermarket makes egg-celent bid to recycle more this Easter

A supermarket has hit on an egg-cellent idea to recycle Easter egg packaging.

Sainsbury’s will be encouraging customers for the first time to recycle all their left over plastic, cardboard and foil from the eggs at the Hardwick store in Lynn.

Manager Chris Pardoe is urging shoppers to take advantage of the recycling point.

He said: “It’s important that we act as a responsible retailer by supporting our local environment and making it easier for our customers to recycle packaging from the products they buy.

“They were really supportive of our Christmas card recycling service earlier this year and we hope they make this a cracking success too.

The Hardwick store is one of 50 supermarkets to run this initiative The recycling point will be placed at the front of the store until Wednesday, April 30.
