This week saw the first item ticked off a long list of improvements that are planned for Lynn’s Majestic Cinema, as sound was improved in each of the three screens.

Manager Tom Cundy said: “2014 is going to be a big year for The Majestic. The first of the changes was to improve the sound in all screens which will make a massive difference to your experience.

“We’ve wanted to get Dolby 7.1 in for a while now so it’s a massive relief to have it finally arrive.”

The team’s main focus this year is on improving screen three, and work has already begun with the introduction of two air conditioning units and further plans to introduce brand new stadium tiered seating.

Tom said: “The worst thing about that screen is that there isn’t any air conditioning in there which is a massive problem in the six weeks holidays. From next week it will be nice and cool.

“We are also hoping to install a brand new wall-to-wall cinema screen in there. This should hopefully be completed by the end of the year.”

The team are planning to replace all of the carpets in the building and will be introducing a Majestic Loyalty card. Behind the kiosk, nachos will now be on offer and the team will be wearing new uniforms to replace the waistcoats.

Tom said: “There are other plans in place which I can’t go into now but I’m sure you can see that we are committed to make The Majestic Cinema the best place to come and enjoy movies. Oh, and £4 for tickets is here to stay don’t worry!”
