A man has been arrested and bailed following the discovery of a cannabis farm in a West Norfolk village, police revealed today, Friday January 17.
Officers raided an address in Holts Lane, Hilgay, on Thursday afternoon, where 16 cannabis plants, a further quantity of the drug which had been ground up plus other drug paraphernalia were found.
A man in his 50s was subsequently arrested at another address in the area. He was later released on bail until next month, pending further inquiries.
Sgt Marcus Rowe, of Downham police, said: “We continue to put pressure on those involved with drugs in and around Downham Market and residents can be reassured information passed to officers will be acted on.”
Anyone who is concerned about illegal drug activity in their area should speak to a member of their local safer neighbourhood team by calling the non-emergency 101 number.
